Hi, everybody! Did you all have fun during Halloween? I know I did, what with the corn maze and our nice visitors! But there's something I want to show you guys. I went to the end of the corn maze, and I found something neat! Just one moment...

[Now Fattycakes scoots onto the screen. He is wearing a small toga and a laurel wreath.]

Ta-daa! I am Buulius Caesar! I don't know if many of you know who he is, but I know he's some kind of historical figure from my friend's world. I think I might wear this costume around a bit, even though Halloween is already past. I like how it looks! Do you like it? Puuuuuu? [He leans into the camera, then pulls away.]

Did you guys do anything neat for Halloween?

Ooh, right! But when you're in human form, you still have to dress warm, right? I don't like rain either... it's cold and wet and sometimes kind of noisy.

I don't have to. Sometimes I do, if I want to blend in or I'm feeling extra lazy.

Aye, I'm not big on thunderstorms either. They're too dangerous for flying so it's best spent inside reading under blankets.

Oh, can you bring out your fire feathers without transforming all the way? That's neat!

Puu, I bet they'd be dangerous for flying... and I definitely understand spending rainy days under comfy blankets. I ought to get some blankets for my huts, maybe...

Aye, thank you. They get a little thicker in this winter cycle too, but it makes spring a pain.

What kind of material would be best for blankets in your huts do you think?

It must make spring hot just as it's warming up, right?

Um... I don't know... something warm and soft?

Puu? What is it, then? Do you molt everywhere? I shed sometimes, but my fur can be used for things, so I gather it up even though it's a little messy.

Oh! But I'll need someone to come by and wash my blankets every once in a while. Or maybe they won't get that dirty... I'm not sure.

Ah... aye... I do. But I don't keep the feathers... that'd be weird, eh. I think. It'd be weird for me at least. What do you use the fur for though?

If you remind me once a month, I can put it in the wash with mine and my brother's things.

[Since he was thinking of getting Fattycakes scarfs for blankets anyway...]

Okay, maybe I don't keep it that much... but sometimes humans try to make things with it and ask that I give it to them. I haven't seen those people in a while, though... I should find them and ask what they made.

Puu, okay! I will be sure to hunt you down and ask you!

[Laughs.] No problem, eh. So long as your stuff is small, it'll be nothing compared to me and my brothers, eh.

I don't shed enough to make a blanket, so I wonder what they must be making. Good-luck charms, maybe? Puffskis are considered lucky in some places.

Well, of course it should be small. It needs to be able to fit in the door of my hut. I should have considered that before asking...

Could be. There are some pretty strange lucky charms in my world too. [To say nothing of Marco's anklet and belt, okay.]

No worries, I'm taking that into consideration as well.

Just really weird ones. Have you ever seen Ace's hat? And my brother Izou wears geta sandals into battle. Although I guess both of those could be seen as fashion.

[Laughs quietly.] No problem little matey. You're welcome, eh?

Yeah... those are at least fashionable, not just weird. People have lots of weird superstitions about Puffskis. Like, if a Puffski with Pufflings lives near you, you'll have lucky children. And I don't know if drinking tea made from the Pura leaf is actually that good for humans even though they say it is.

Eh, really? I've always been fond of tea... [But not enough to deprive Fattycakes of house building materials.]

Mah, hopefully your luck will rub off a little, eh? I'm sure this place could use some more luck, superstition or not.

Hmm! Maybe I can give you some Pura leaves and you can figure out how to make tea from it.
