Puu! Hello, Luceti! Fattycakes is here with an im-puu-tant announcement!

My Buuday- um, birthday is coming up soon! February 14th is my birthday. Well, actually, it's the day I met my best friend, but that's when I celebrate my birthday, because... I don't know when Mama made me, actually.

But that's only part of the important part! Do any of you know how to put a party together? I want to have a nice birthday party, but I don't know where to start. Also, I'd need people with arms and legs to help me gather all the food and get me to the place where we're holding the party, so we need to think of that too.

So, in short, I want to throw a birthday party, and I need your help! Let me know if you can help, or if you have any ideas. Oh, and everyone is going to be invited! I want a big, happy celebration, puu buu!

So we're gonna have a weird event around Valentine's Day? Puup. I can't believe the Mal-No-Nos won't let me have my birthday in peace.

Hmm... let's see! Where to begin. Well, one day I traveled to a world with a big city. I was lost in this city, and it was very scary. But a little girl found me and put me in her backpack when her mama wasn't looking. The little girl was visiting family in this big city- normally she lives in a quieter place.

That sounds really cute! What was her name? And why did she name you that?

Her name is Abby. I think it's short for Abigail or something like that. And she gave me my name because I am puffy and round, puu buu! [He seems very proud of that fact.]

It's a very nice name. [Just all the deadpan.] And she sounds like a great friend, eh. I think the day you met her would be a great date for a birthday to remember it by.

I would be happy to help gather decorations for your party. I think I might even still have some left over from Beast's birthday that might be of use.

Ah, that's right! You're Beast's friend! Hi, hi! Yes, any help for decorating and other things would be great! I just hope the Malnosso don't have anything planned for that day. And if someone else is having a party, I might just go to that. Conflicting parties would not be puffy!

Well I have heard that there's a holiday on the same day. There is a good chance that your party might conflict with someone else's. But I do not know that for sure.

Puu... I should do more research, then. Could you listen for me, too? If you hear about any parties going on, tell me so I don't accidentally make a conflict!

But just a question... if there are no other parties, how would you set up mind? Just wondering.

Well I suppose that depends on how you want it set up. It is your party after all. Is there anything in particular you would like me to use? Certain colors or types of decoration?

Ooh... that's a tough call! I like all kinds of colors. Maybe we could make a Puffski-shaped garland! You know, one of those strings of paper cut outs. Shaped like me.

Oh yes, I've seen those! Well...none shaped like you. But surely it looks easy enough to make with the proper material.

Hee hee~ at least I'm an easy shape, right? We could string them up around the village plaza, maybe.

If we can't get a room or house for it, then sure! The plaza would be a nice open place for everybody.

Hmm yes, I agree. And I think more people might feel welcome to join if it's out in the open like that.

Puu, yes! Then it should definitely be out in the plaza! You'll be there and help make and put up the garlands, right?

Um... puu. Not sure. Maybe sometime in the morning? I don't have a clock, so I don't have the best sense of time...

Yes! Humans do it, and we do it too! Puffskis love any opportunity for happiness and celebration. Not all of us have birthdays, though, because Puusk- my home planet- doesn't really have a calendar. Maybe I should ask Mama to make one when I get back.

Hmm, I would assist you but I have little knowledge of parties myself. Are there any other traditions associated with birthdays?

A calendar would be useful, I feel. I suppose even I was born at some point, though I do not know which day or even how long ago. The planet must have been alive for many years already. I do not pay much attention to how many days have passed...

Um... well... there's gift giving, and there's always some kind of treat involved, like cake or something. Generally everyone just gets together and has a good time. Oh, party food! We need party food to have a good time. [He probably has no idea what he's talking about.]

Puu? Does your world not have a calendar? You have a weird perception of time. Then again, before I started hanging out with humans a lot, I had a weird perception of time, too.

More gifts? Is that not what occurs at Christmas? [Not that he ever heard the real reason behind Christmas...] I am sure there was plenty of food around that time as well. I wonder how this is different, then.

The humans have likely devised a calendar of their own, but it is something that does not concern us Spirits. We live each day in a routine and continue for as long as the planet survives. Time does not really concern us.

You don't know about the humans' calendar? I think it would concern you! It's part of your world, after all.

I see... It is the same practice but a different focus of celebration.

As an immortal being I did not feel it was necessary to count the days. Let the humans live out their short lives day by day, I will last for many years yet. If I am to attempt to embrace my more... human side however, perhaps I should try to remember events such as these. Important events that occur regularly.

It sounds like you're trying to be more human. That's good! Keeping track of events and then spending them with people is a lot of fun.
